Brilliant location; really nice hotel; friendly staff on reception and accommodating night porter who willingly served myself and my partner drinks on coming back to the hotel late.

Disliked: Only one gripe, the lampshade in our room was particularly dirty and should be removed. Looks OK when lamp off, though when on, fillthy.

Enjoyable location suited us

Liked: Location was really good in the centre. Room upgraded. Good size. Very nicely decorated and comfortable. Staff very friendly. Sharon super helpful.

Overall we had a very...

Liked: The staff were all friendly and obliging. The breakfast was excellent. The location was ideal for the cathedral and the city centre.
Disliked: We decided, on our first evening to have a meal at the hotel. The meal was a disappointment. Unfortunately the fish was very greasy. Also we were the only couple eating at the time, so there was no atmosphere.

Ideal for a short stay...

Liked: Nearly all was good especially the sun coming in. The breakfast was enjoyable although the porridge I reckon was froman instant packet. Location was ideal because of the two locations I visited. The room and bathroom were very good. Good honest food.
Disliked: Normal secondary pillow. The chair had been sat on by an elephant hence the massive dimple. NO RADIO 3 TO LISTEN IN THE MORNINGS. Could not operate the dreadful air conditioning system. The restaurant evening staff need to be a bit more 'with it'.

Will be staying again regardless!...

Liked: Sharon in reception was so lovely. I called in the morning on the day to request an early check in, and she upgraded our room for us. I also loved that it was dog friendly.
Disliked: We were only given one flat pillow each. Not sure if this was a mistake from house keeping but I didn’t sleep comfortably.
