Very good

Liked: Great hotel very comfortable, nice views
Disliked: We had a superior privilege room for 5 days, but there was no drawers in the room to store our clothes plus they charge £15 per night to park the car which is a lot for paying guests.

Great hotel facility in a...

Liked: Very well located, and recently built, so everything is in good condition and it feels very comfortable and clean. The breakfast offered a good selection, in the usual self-serve format, and was of decent quality. Individual staff members I met and had some interaction with were mostly pleasant, professional and helpful.
Disliked: Check-in was a bit clunky, with the desk soon overwhelmed if more than a few people turned up at once. There was something slightly off-key about the restaurant. Arriving at around 6.30pm one evening to an almost empty restaurant, I was told it would be half an hour before I could be offered a table, which I found odd. I decided to return to my room and try room service. This was all managed online (of course), so I placed an order (not overly complicated) and settled down to wait. An hour later, my order was still showing online as "in process", so I called Reception, and after a call back I was told that the restaurant were dealing with a lot of people and it would still be some time before my order could be filled. I was offered the option of cancelling, which I did, and went out to get a meal elsewhere.

Nice short stay

Liked: Staff were pleasantThe room was lovely with a lovely sea viewHotel reception and bar area comfortable with a lovely sea view and close to everything.
Disliked: Paying £15 per night to park our car and for staff to then explain parking is on a first come first serve basis. My mother is 90-years old and cannot walk far. Parking was OK for the first two nights but the last night we struggled to park and eventually parked in the Ibis hotel next door outside. Several cars had taken up two parking spaces, the spaces need marking out properly and car park attendant needs to ensure people park with consideration to others, especially as parking is limited. The breakfast on all three mornings was cold - we did mention this to the breakfast manager on our first morning.Poached eggs, are not poached they are hard boiled. The beer needs some tlc, it is expensive and not very nice compared with the same beer in Harbour Light. There are a lot of dogs at this hotel, which is not a problem for us, but would be nice if guests with dogs could be asked not to walk their dogs through the hotel on extended leads so that they are 10-feet in front of them.

Good hotel and great for...

Liked: Excellent location, great service, lovely hotel and staff. Plenty of parking too
Disliked: I think that the vegetarian options for breakfast could be better and to avoid cross contamination of meat utensils etc with items that would be suitable for vegetarian diets needs to be considered - for example, place all the vegetarian items next to the plates first and the bacon/sausages etc at the end.
