Mercure Newport

Hotel was really nice and modern and was great value for money. Breakfast was great too.

Liked: It's a great option if you want to go over for the rugby, you can easily get a train to Cardiff and it's close to a great food court with a lot of dining options.
Disliked: There were not enough staff on in the evenings to deal with the group of people travelling over for the rugby and utilising the bar in the evenings.

Disliked: No parking but paid £14 for 2 days in the fiars multi story

Liked: Great location, close to all amenities. Room was amazing, and that shower, to die for. Breakfast was delicious. A great stay.
Disliked: Firmer pillows.

Liked: Central location and easy to find my way around the hotel is the tallest building so wasn’t hard finding my way back, friendly staff, great breakfast, my bedroom was excellent with pretty much everything I would need. They have a locked room you can store your case after check out if you want to explore without dragging your case around.
Disliked: I am not sure if the aircon was working, it was a little stuffy in the room.
