Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the hotel’s décor in common areas feels a bit dated in places, and occasional noise from functions can carry to nearby rooms. However, most agree these are minor issues compared to the overall value and comfort offered.

Liked: The room was very comfy. The breakfast was really nice and there was plenty of choice - once youve figured out its self service. The best thing about the hotel was the Driving Range.
Disliked: Our room was on the bottom floor, literally next door but 1 to the wedding reception. We were there for 2 nights so that was 2 weddings. All the guests who smoked thought it acceptable to sit outside our window and smoke and shout. The window was also open as it was very hot but this did not deter. All staff seemed miserable. The only one we found who was pleasant was the young lad at the driving range.Had a meal in Carter and Fitch restaurant - service was slow at best. I had pork with pasta but the pasta was so spicy that i could not eat it - it was advertised as creamy tomato with vodka with no mention of spice. They werent even bothered that id left 95% of the food. Would not eat in here again.Went in pool - there was 6 guests in and its only a little pool. When a young lad and his dad came with a pool noodle then we realised it was time to go. We arent hotel goers so dont know the ‘crack’ but im sure we looked lost with a lot of things and staff were not forward with assistance which was disappointing.

Spacious room, could do with...

Liked: Spacious room, had everything we needed.
Disliked: Considering this hotel has a whole golf setup we expected a bit nicer facilities. The first room we got had a dirty floor and rubbish in the bin, which is why we got a different room that was clean but really not great. The bed was good and the room was big, it's just the bathroom that has mold everywhere and could do with a refresh. Also, wanted to go for dinner in their restaurant, wasn't possible cause they had every table booked, so you have to book in advance. We got dinner from a fish and chips shop nearby though, which turned out pretty good.

Only book here if you're...

Liked: The initial price.
Disliked: They gave us the wrong room. Booked a large Family room with 2 beds and was given a standard room with 1 double bed to share with a friend. The apology offered was ridiculous - 1 breakfast for 2 people which is insulting, so I declined. I was refused by the hotel to move rooms and they said I had to deal with Booking.com directly. Messaged Booking.com and received no reply either. Went to the bar for a drink to be told that they had no Bacardi, rum, mint or lime (on a bank holiday weekend...). I feel sorry for the poor souls having a wedding reception there that evening! The pillows were rock hard and gave us both headache. Neither the check in agent nor the check out agent asked me for payment but then reported me for non payment of the room which is negligence on their part not mine. Overall a terrible experience from the hotel, and also the provider who I hold Genius Level with.

Nice hotel

Liked: Room was spacious and clean. Staff very nice. Good car park
Disliked: Bed was lumpy and our room was right next to the kitchen extractor. We had the window open to cool the room down, came back and it stunk of curry from the kitchen. The noise was also so loud with the window shut i struggled to sleep. Can also hear everything in the hallways, its not a quiet place to rest.
