Helpful staff

Liked: The staff were very helpfus, especially that I arrived at night and was too tired.
Disliked: The variety of the breakfast items wasn't great for Mercure.

Very comfortable and friendly

Great for a short stopover...

Liked: It's quiet and well-equipped. Glad for the in-room fan! Like the ample free parking and extra large bed. Perfect for our purpose, which was a one-night stay to attend the Heritage Festival at Englefield House.
Disliked: While the room was well-priced, I felt the charge for breakfast was a little steep. The standard of food was poor value for money, and it was difficult to find an attendant in the breakfast room. We nearly left without paying because we couldn't find anyone to take our card!

Liked: Room was ready for us , slightly earlier , which was great as we had to go straight out after checking in.
Disliked: The bathroom had a very unpleasant odour, which I reported to reception on our checkout

Disliked: Bedroom needed a little touch up on decoration - otherwise excellent
