Passable

Liked: Room was very nice.
Disliked: We booked dinner at the reception on arrival for 6pm the same evening. We decided to have a couple of drinks at the bar at 5pm onwards. When we approached the desk at the dining room we were told we could not eat until 7.30pm and this was on a different and restricted menu from the one on the hotel website due to a buffet being served for some Apprentices who were staying at the hotel. We queried this as we could not understand why we had not been told this at reception. No-one could offer an explanation and we were made to feel this was our fault. Due to the fact that we had had a drink we had to travel by taxi to Milton Keynes to eat. This cost us £20. I complained at reception and the lady there did give us a drinks voucher which we appreciated. However I cannot understand how the receptionist would not have known that we couldn't get a table at 6pm.

Disappointed

Liked: The quality of the room and bathroom was fine.
Disliked: The fact that we had to have our key cards reset every day.The fact that we were there for three nights but the room wasn't serviced and the tea/coffee wasn't topped up. For the price we.paid that's the least I'd expect.

Disliked: Bed was really high - difficult to get into

It was alright.

Liked: The blackout curtains looked good and worked. It was nice to have a window to open. It was quiet. The room was spacious and had two chairs to sit on. The bedside lights took a bit of working out, but the spotlights were useful and stylish. There was a nice big window in the bathroom and a close-up mirror. I liked the view.
Disliked: The underfloor heating in the bathroom was too warm/hot for me. My husband had a bath and couldn't get the bath to empty.
