Great location, clean BUT not...

Liked: We stayed 3 nights. Travelling for medical appointments. The reception person on the 1st & 2nd day was lovely and very accommodating for our needs. Location was exceptional. Security was good. Very clean. Good shower. Able to open a window for fresh air. I might stay again just for the location and the fact that it was clean if I had to but not much else was good.
Disliked: Not up to Mercure standards. Very tired in maintenance. A/C did not work properly - it ran cold. No exhaust fan in bathroom. No restaurant anymore - it was closed. Kitchenette facilities sub standard (cutlery bent when used, no sharp knife, very few utensils and pots etc. The exhaust fan did not work which was a problem for cooking fumes. The family who lives on the same floor is very noisy with doors slamming and loud conversation till late at night. The man at reception on the last day was unapproachable, unaccommodating and quite rude when we had an issue with the smoke alarm & cooking facilities. A small amount of smoke from cooking a steak set the smoke alarm off as the exhaust fan did not work. I opened the window and went to advise reception when 2 people (who I assume work there but live on the same floor) burst into the room when I opened the door without saying who they were. They were very hostile and would not let me explain what had occurred and that I needed assistance with the exhaust fan. He just said that he would tell reception and stormed off. I then called reception who was also unapproachable and hostile and told me that I would likely receive a charge of $2000 for the trouble caused by me opening the door to the room - a comment I still dont understand. I explained that it was only a small amount of smoke, that the window was opened as the exhaust fan did not work. Only reasonable that if you have kitchenette, you should have sufficient working facilities and equipment and instructions on how to work equipment.

Good location to travel around...

Liked: Close to the market. Free tram stop with in walking distance. Lots of food choices and supermarkets with in walking distance.
Disliked: The lift

Liked: Good value, w/ kitchen. Clean room. Great housekeeping
Disliked: Very noisy neighbours, thin walls/rooves. Sealing of windows

Comfortable, affordable and fit for...

Liked: Staff, location, room
Disliked: Mould in the shower and general musty smell in room, otherwise clean

Extremely Dissappointed

Liked: Nothing, as I did not stay here As the manager was unable to give us the keys after check in was until 11pm got their at 10pm myself and 2 children and Manager was not able to bring keys back. Very disappointed when he sent us to other accommodation I had to pay for. Money has not been returned
Disliked: Extremely upset as myself and 2 children didn't stay here as the Manager was unable to give us the keys. Don't put check in till 11pm if you are not their. You also told me I was able to collect keys the next day, but when I called and messaged throughout the day was ignored until 3pm when you told me I had to find alternative accommodation which I did and paid for. Please return my money. I have asked on numerous occasions.

Great price and location, easy...

Liked: Location was great, well priced
Disliked: It was perfect would stay again

Room although small was nice...

Liked: Property was very clean and cleaners wdre very good at cleaning the room while we were out. However it was a tad small but it had everything we needed for our stay.
Disliked: There was mold forming in the shower and the space was a bit tight.

Disliked: The internet didn’t work- kept cutting out and could hear lots of noise from above floor
