Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel

We were put in a room that backed onto the car park, it was very noisy. Also there was no kettle in the rooms so we were unable to make a cup of tea. We have stayed in hotels that cost less and are better maintained and you are better looked after. I would not recommend this hotel and it was out near busy motorways and a £17 cab ride to get to Mote Park.

Liked: Clean apart from the dead flies on the window sill. Lots of parking space.
Disliked: Not good value for money.

Great stay

Liked: Great stay! The hotel was in a lovely setting with spacious grounds. The bedroom was very comfortable, and the facilities and breakfast were great. The staff were all very friendly

Pleasant and conveniently located but...

Liked: Great selection for breakfast, lovely grounds for a wander, perfect location for taking the ferry or shuttle to France.
Disliked: The hotel is very dated and the room felt a bit run-down. It was spacious but very hot, with no temperature control - we had to request a second fan. There was also a wedding going on downstairs so we couldn't keep our windows open very much. The pool was nice to have but again felt a bit run-down and dark.

Met expectations for the price...

Liked: Easy access to the pool and friendly staff. Room was clean and spacious.
Disliked: All calls and emails prior to our stay went unanswered.
