Mercure Lille Centre Grand Place

Lille weekend!

Liked: Very central. Excellent breakfast choices.
Disliked: Room not quite as good as looked in photos! A little tired.. toilet needed descaling.... Paintwork a bit shabby....

Mixed.

Disliked: The welcome arrangements by hotel management system for those arriving late (due to e.g train delays). Unnecessary bureaucracy and failure to plan for putting the customer first. Thank you to all staff for their patience in sorting this general management issue.

Liked: room and bathroom. breakfast was nice too
Disliked: I wanted some green salad as the breakfast. I used to travel a lot, and need to take care of my health during my trip. I try to eat salad as much as I can, and it helps to have salad if possible for thefuture.

Liked: The location was excellent
Disliked: The bathroom was really shabby but worked. The whole space was awkward with too much furniture, really dated. Still providing instant coffee sachets.

Lovely characterful hotel situated right...

Liked: We went by Eurostar. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the Eurostar station and situated right in the historic heart of Lille. We had a superior room that was a good size with a balcony. Lovely old style hotel but well maintained. We went out for meals as so many good places nearby. The Opera was right next door. Would definitely stay here again. Staff very nice.
Disliked: The wifi log in was quite complicated so we didn't bother as only there 2 nights.
