Mercure Haydock Hotel

Excellent hotel.

Liked: The room was an excellent size and very comfortable. The bar area was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again.
Disliked: No air conditioning. The room was too warm. Think there was air conditioning that didn't work.

Disliked: Property was very old and dated in the room. The window was held open by a toilet roll because you couldn’t close or open it properly. Towel rail in the bathroom was covered in mold. Bed was hard and creaky. Bath was chipped in many places

Liked: Got a fabulous surprise when arrived, guest of the day and upgraded to a suite…. Was just so nice and staff even better

Liked: We would like to thank the staff. Samantha (receptionist), staff at the restaurant and bar were all marvellous, very helpful, patient and kind. They went above and beyond.
Disliked: The beds and pillows were hard. Shower area had mould, even the shower head. In the rooms there wasn’t air conditioning and we couldn’t open the window (the hotel provided a fan after request). Rooms are quite dark and a bit tired.
