Below average rooms, very hot...
Liked: The area was nice and staff super friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Rooms were tired, very hot in the summer and it just looked like a very tired hotel.

Superb
Liked: Pleasant grounds with plenty of space for parking.Generally comfortable and a convenient location for meeting friends
Disliked: Carrying our cases upstairs (we are in our 80's). Not finding the facility to make a cup of tea until it was too late, because the kettle etc was hidden in the wardrobe!!

A bit of a disaster
Liked: Good breakfast
Disliked: Unfortunately we experienced major plumbing issues in the bathroom: the toilet would not refill so I had to use the ladies powder room on the ground floor instead; faulty thermostat on the shower so that the water was frighteningly hot ( the shower was over the bath which made escape very difficult for me as a pensioner!); no water at all from the sink hot tap, so there were no washing facilities whatever. Reported to staff in the evening who said the issues would be addressed the following morning! Totally ridiculous as we were only staying 1 night! No alternative room was offered. However the next day the manager was very apologetic and arranged a complete refund for us.Even without the plumbing fiasco I would not return to this hotel because we were woken at 5am by street cleaning lorries outside our window. The fact that we had to pay extra for parking was another negative.
