Unexpectedly pleasing hotel

Liked: Very good welcome and check-in by nice young man. Was quiet. Bed comfy. Old-fashioned air con in room which was actually better than more modern ones, eg in Premier Inns. Breakfast good. Staff good.
Disliked: The local area was awful. The hotel was the best thing in it.

Disappointing

Liked: Good close for city centre likes shopping etc plus restaurants and pubs etc.
Disliked: This room is too hot!!.. . Air Conditioner is not good enough…weak flow!. Third floor area too heat!

Wash Out!

Liked: The location & staff are great.
Disliked: We stayed in room 304 it's a little bit dated and I've paid a lot less for much better. On arrival we dropped our bags in and went straight out & returned at 3am or so. Only then did we realise that the toilet was constantly filling and it was loud, even with the bathroom door shut it was keep you awake loud, I suppose I could have asked for another room but it was 3am - at £90+ pounds for the night it should have been identified by the cleaner & dealt with. No sleep, reported it to the receptionist on checkout who was very nice & friendly, even showed her a video. Disappointed, there's a group of us who come down several times a year, time for a change of hotel I think. You need to do better at this price point.
