Excellent location and great value...

Liked: Great location for a party in the town centre. Got there early and got a place in the car park. £5 to park for 24 hours, excellent value. Room was very quiet, plenty of storage space good tea and coffee making facilities. Can’t fault this hotel for a break in Darlington.

Little or no sleep for...

Liked: The breakfast was nice. Bathroom has been updated.
Disliked: The room was tiny, just enough room either side of the bed to get in and out! No air con on what ended up being the 2 hottest nights ever!! We had to have the window open to try and cool down however that resulted in no sleep until after 2am as the bar across the road had music playing and their doors open! So little or no sleep for 2 nights in a tiny room, uncomfortable bed and awful pillows! If anyone is considering staying avoid room 370 if you want a good nights sleep! We will not stay here again!

Lovely stay

Liked: The hotel location is excellent. It's clean with a lovely bar. I've stayed several times and always been happy. The staff are the high point, absolutely smashing, nothing is too much trouble.
Disliked: Nothing, we had a lovely stay.

Liked: When we arrived there was no body on reception cleaner had to go out the back and get receptionist room was so hot and could not open windows very wide at all , when we left in morning no receptionist on yet again
Disliked: Def think need receptionist working when you arrive and leave

Good price for a weekend...

Liked: The room was lovely and so was the bar, very pretty hotel.
Disliked: The parking not having a lift made it a little difficult as I walk with a cane, so with bags it was a struggle to get up to the room easily. The only ramp way was to walk through the car park entrance which was unsafe. The woman who did our check in was a bit dismissive, seemed in a rush to move us along.
