Mercure Bristol North The Grange Hotel

Really lovely location

Liked: King size bed, Accor member so got to spin a wheel and won 1/2 price dinner & drinks, lovely grounds,lovely staff
Disliked: No air con and no rubber bath mat

Exceptional

Liked: I have stayed here many times with my sister and her little dog. The staff make the place wonderful and homely. That's why we keep coming here. Food good, oldy worldly feeling.....

Disliked: The modernization of the bedrooms although standard corporate structures the property itself could have excelled much more with vintage modernization of the rooms

Ok, but not amazing

Liked: The bed was very comfy and even though I was in the main house there was no noise coming from the private function downstairs
Disliked: I went to use the wardrobe & the door half fell off. Luckily no injuries. However, I asked for the door to be fixed twice & nothing was done!!I couldn't use the wardrobe all weekend & had to lodge the chair against the door to stop it falling on the bed! Also, there was, what looked like, a black mascara mark on the back of the bathroom door which wasn't cleaned off! Also, rooms lack plug sockets so it makes it difficult to charge phones etc.

Liked: All staff very nice, location absolutely stunning, comfortable mattress, free car park, finally delicious breakfast.
Disliked: Minuses was some event there some people were disturbing noisy in the night. Shower temperature was very hard to control

Disliked: Room upkeep, needs updating. Dodgy bath panel in bathroom and tile nearly collapsing in shower. Needs updating.

Great for a One night...

Liked: Staff were amazing. We had a problem with our room but tabisha dealt with this wonderfully and exceeded our expectations. Great breakfast. Lovely old Manor House in beautiful grounds
Disliked: The hotel is a bit tired and could do with a refurbishment
