My partner and I were quite surprised by this hotel. It was quite posh! However, there was a diverse clientele which was good to see. We really enjoyed our stay. We had a standard double room - the bed was comfy, the room clean, bath towels/toiletries were supplied and clean towels everyday! There was a kettle and different coffees/tea available which was extra handy. You just have to search the drawers for them. :) There were extra pillows and a half decent TV for those chill out moments relaxing. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel - we thought it seemed a little expensive, but we didn't see portions or anything so can't really comment, except that they were busy at breakfast! The staff were very nice and helpful. There is a bar underneath the hotel called Marlows which was an excellent place to have a quiet drink. We went to a gig on the Saturday night and didn't really fancy the busy clubs - Marlows was perfect for an evening drink. Lovely seating and atmosphere to the place. This hotel was great and although it's a tiny bit pricey, I would use this hotel again. Sometimes, money doesn't matter if you're looking for a good time. My partner and I had an excellent stay - the place was easy to find, and so close to town. Would definitely recommend!

Liked: Very central; easy access to town centre, O2 Academy etc.

Good and Bad Points

Liked: Clean hotel, friendly staff and the breakfast buffet was ok.
Disliked: Hard mattress and not the greatest pillows. A bath with no taps so shower only....bit weird. Big pigeon problem so very noisy room (not hotels fault). Not the place if you like a quiet nights sleep.

Amazing experience

Liked: This hotel is absolutely amazing. Staff is always happy to help, professional and with excellent customer service skills. Despite difficult situation all over the world due to Corona Virus and uncertainty followed the pandemic, management is doing anything in their power to remain open and provide work for the staff. Due to governmental restrictions management had to shut the hotel as well as restaurants bar spa and gym. They only provide accommodation for guests that already booked and stayed in private rooms of the premises. Still everybody there remains calm and positive. Reception staff always happy to help. Restaurant staff will ensure you feel comfortable and have access to amazing delicious food. In the evening you can order some beautiful cocktails. The Keepers team together with mercury hotel receptionist service, saved my life when I was going through very difficult time in Bristol. Huge thank you to Pedro, Daniel, Baltazar, Guillermo,Andre... guys you made me feel there like I?m part of your family. You never doubt my crazy story of my life, you believed me and helped me. I will be grateful for the rest of my life. Salut to Mrs.Bond. ?

Wedding Weekend Stay

Liked: Room was surprisingly large and the bed was very comfortable. Very nicely decorated. The large shower was nice and worked perfectly. Handy little shelf seat to perch on if needed. The water temperature was easy to adjust. Plenty of shelf space for toiletries. Sockets on either side of the bed so we could both charge our phones. The selection of food for breakfast was good - various cereals, bread, fruit, pastries etc. Lovely looking bar / breakfast room. The whole place is nicely decorated. They have hand sanitizer in the lobby, which is very necessary right now.
Disliked: Pillows were a bit hard and lumpy. The bathroom was lacking hooks so it was a struggle to hang towels and things to dry off. Not even a hook for the hand towel. No extractor fan either so it stayed damp for quite a time after a shower. The bathroom was also very cold in comparison to the rest of the room (tiled floor). The mirror in the bathroom was a bit too far away so not easy to do make up or put contact lenses in (had to reach over the sink). No set of drawers in bedroom for small items / underwear etc. When asked what we wanted for our cooked breakfast, we had to reel off the full list - beans, eggs, mushrooms etc as there was no menu to pick from. But then we were given scrambled egg and grilled tomato, which neither of us asked for. The bar was also very expensive - over 11 for 2 bottles of Thatchers.
