My partner and I were quite surprised by this hotel. It was quite posh! However, there was a diverse clientele which was good to see. We really enjoyed our stay. We had a standard double room - the bed was comfy, the room clean, bath towels/toiletries were supplied and clean towels everyday! There was a kettle and different coffees/tea available which was extra handy. You just have to search the drawers for them. :) There were extra pillows and a half decent TV for those chill out moments relaxing. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel - we thought it seemed a little expensive, but we didn't see portions or anything so can't really comment, except that they were busy at breakfast! The staff were very nice and helpful. There is a bar underneath the hotel called Marlows which was an excellent place to have a quiet drink. We went to a gig on the Saturday night and didn't really fancy the busy clubs - Marlows was perfect for an evening drink. Lovely seating and atmosphere to the place. This hotel was great and although it's a tiny bit pricey, I would use this hotel again. Sometimes, money doesn't matter if you're looking for a good time. My partner and I had an excellent stay - the place was easy to find, and so close to town. Would definitely recommend!

Liked: Very central; easy access to town centre, O2 Academy etc.

Liked: The location was handy
Disliked: First of all, we showed up to the hotel and there was no parking we then told the hotel, and the receptionist was pretty rude arguing back at us demanding there is always parking but we?d been around the car park twice, turns out there was no parking so we parked in the NCP which is a five minute walk but isn?t good when you have luggage! Also our room was so small you could barely have room to relax never mind walk in there, nothing like advertised on the website, as the rooms looks spacious but are not! Also the television had 5 channels with awful signal, our view from the window was a run down wall! Room service was available so we ordered two waters and a bottle of coke, the ?room service guy? which I believe was also the security guard, eventually came with our drinks which was two cokes because they had run out of water I said tap water from the bar would be fine but apparently it wasn?t aloud. So he ended up then not leaving our room for 2 hours because he was trying to impress us and baring in mind it was 4am, we just wanted him to leave so we could sleep. My friend ended up leaving with him just so he?d leave the room. Also we didn?t pay average amount for the hotel because a ?fight? was on that we knew nothing about. Just poor poor service all round.

Liked: Bed comfy
Disliked: Room was cold. Air con/heater too noisy to leave on. Mini bar was rubbish. 2 bottles of coke & a fizzy water. Car park was ridiculously tight. Never been in one so small & hard to get in/park.

Liked: The room was nice and beautiful. The food and the location is great.
Disliked: I book 4 rooms for the family of 9 people. But the reception could not find one room for myself & husband. I handed him the printout of the confirmation from which contains all 9 people's name and surname. The reception insisted he cannot find only my room. He offered me the new room and suggested that there would be no problem because I've choose to pay at property. After we left the hotel, my credit card has been charged again 109 pound for "NO SHOW" fee. I've sent the email to explain the situation and got reply that BECAUSE I gave only one name to checked in so the reception cannot find the room for me. I sent email again the photos of the printout confirmation with name and surname of all 9 guests that I showed to the reception on 29th September 2019. I have not get any response since 3rd October 2019 from Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel. We were really upset with this careless from the hotel!!!
