Great hotel. Not ideal location...

Liked: The hotel is lovely. Car park isn't massive, but we were lucky enough to get a space. Great WiFi.
Disliked: The location is really bad and let's the hotel down. We were looking for somewhere to have food with a 3 year old in tow. Didn't want to move the car in case we couldn't park upon return. The bit of the town centre we were closest too wasn't great. No obvious places to eat an evening meal. A few intimidating groups of people. Not the hotels fault,but would put me off of returning.

Stuffy and noisy

Liked: Hotels location was good. The little interaction I had with the staff wasn't terrible
Disliked: Stool parts on the toilet wall behind the toilet have not been cleaned, the people directly above us were incredibly loud all night, when I called reception to tell them about this it only got worse with shouting and swearing and thuds that shook the ceiling. I feel a call back would have been appropriate to attempt to rectify this by perhaps offering an alternative room or check if the issue has been resolved. This kept me awake all night counting down the moments until we could leave with the added pain or being unable to open the windows making the already horrid experience much worse due how stuffy the room was. The air con was on but didn't make a huge difference. Eventually around 9 am when the upstairs noise calmed down I took the opportunity to attempt to get an hour or 2 sleep before the 8 hour drive ahead of me but unfortunately the cleaner took the opportunity to hum her way through yhe corridors putting a stop to that. Overall dreadful experiences and couldn't wait ti leave. I understand the hotel staff are not in control of the noise other people make but they are in control of how they handle a situation and I don't think this particular one was handled very well at all. I now have an 8 hour drive on little to no sleep ahead of me.
