Disliked: Tired decor,poor cleaning regime,Mould in and on the bathroom extractor,,dusty and dirty mirror mould on windows, very noisy at night,and noisy persons in the room and corridor early AM,toilet seat hanging off,bath was dirty

Disliked: Very loud. It was a prom night and was party till late night. No air con in room. Very hot. Bad smell.

Liked: Staff were great despite the issues. All very smiley and friendly, special mention to Indie on the hotel bar who had to deal with a bar full of tourists and prom go-ers all on her own!
Disliked: The radiator was stuck on full heat in the first room we were given (256). Didn't drop in temperature over an hour, so we were moved to room 258. This room was a lot cooler, but the key cards immediately stopped working. Lots of American tourists were in the corridiors with the same problem. More than one person reported their desk fans weren't working. Our fan in 258 did work, but not on the high setting. The room was a decent enough size, but there were plenty of cobwebs around. There are no plug sockets close to the bed, so minus points there. No smart TV, just basic freeview. The function room had a year 11 high school prom on one night which we were not made aware of until checking in that night. As a result, the hotel bar was overrun with parents and teachers. The main dining hall was reserved for a group party booking, so dining could only be done in the hotel bar (which, as already mentioned, was full until the end of the prom at 11pm).

Liked: The old house part of the hotel
Disliked: Me and my partner nearly died of heat exhaustion waiting to book into our room as we arrived early and was not offered water or a cool place we could wait. We was not told that there would be TWO proms on during our stay and the staff did nothing to detire people from revving their Ferrari engines in an effort to out match each other to the point were I had multiple panic attacks and had to check out a night early and was not offered an apology nor a reimbursement for the lost night. When we finally got into our rooms there were THREE spiders in our rooms to welcome us in, a cracked sink in the bathroom and a grimey, covered in old mildew bath and the whole room smelt like an old pub toilet.
