Felt I had been looked...

Liked: Breakfast excellent. The room and hotel had a sense based on special and comfort for residents. It feels a treat going there.
Disliked: The hotel has been taken over recently by a different type of hotel group which appears more hostel type. This is completely at odds for this hotel so hope it doesn't change.

Cute hotel but rooms need...

Liked: The bed was very comfortable and the curtains kept out all the light. There were sockets by the bed and by the mirror over the desk. The bar area is beautifully decorated. The gardens are lovely. Staff were friendly.
Disliked: There were cobwebs in the corners of the room. The bathroom was very cramped. The air conditioning didn't work properly - it kept turning itself off and on. There aren't enough staff at reception when the hotel is busy. Several friends who also stayed the same night mentioned problems in their rooms with mould in the bathroom, dirty carpets, and peeling paint. The bar could be better stocked, especially with real ales. The breakfast buffet could do with a bit more choice and the food should be replenished faster when it runs out.
