Very overpriced

Liked: It was clean and the staff was very friendly , the food was amazing
Disliked: The hotel is very dated and in very poor condition,

Liked: The hotel gives an feeling of good quality but our bed sheets were stained, the mattress felt like a wooden plank, the bed cover smelt and the shower was quite frankly the worst we have ever had, leaking in all directions, luke warm and flooded the bathroom floor. The cooked breakfast had nice mushrooms, although I had bad stomach cramps for the whole of my four hour journey home, and the hotel was the only place we ate. Nice coffee machine!
Disliked: Very slow restaurant, we ordered only two starters which took 45 minutes, the shower was a health hazard, water all over the floor, leaking from under the bath as well. My wife is disabled and very dangerous for her to walk on the bathroom floor. Awful bed, female staff member on desk could not have been less interested when we checked out!

Disappointing

Liked: The bed was comfortable and reception was nice.
Disliked: For the cost of the room its very dated, theres obviously a damp problem and paint was peeling off. The curtains were really old, damp marks on them and the lining was rotten.

Liked: Hotel was booked for a function in Blackrod
Disliked: Room very dated, bathroom needed a total upgrade

Exceptional

Liked: Breakfast was very nice, room was kept clean with plenty of clean soft towels, staff were all very nice , used the Gym and good facilities and ease of access- Would stay again

Superb

One night stay.

Liked: Friendly staff. Plenty of parking.
Disliked: Room extremely hot and corridor outside room too. Couldn’t open window properly and no climate control I could see in room. Other rooms and floors seemed better. 5:30 am fire alarm, all had to vacate to car park, didn’t see any staff and had to work out for ourselves when was safe to re-enter.
