Mercure Birmingham West Hotel

Very good

Liked: Room, Dinning facilities and reception areas nice. The staff were pleasant, some more welcoming than others.
Disliked: I felt the pool, sauna and shower facilities looked unclean, maybe a lack of continuous maintenance. The shower looked disgusting.

Great stay

Liked: The staff were very accommodating.
Disliked: I liked everything…… the lamp in room 312 on the left side had cobwebs on it. Otherwise everything else was great.

Liked: The staff were friendly and very accommodating. Reception were always happy to provide more milk sachets and replacve the missing tv remote...Lots of parking spaces
Disliked: Why were we made to pay for parking? It's a huge car park and not exactly close to the town centre so unsure who else would use the car park?We used the restaurant on Saturday evening and the service was pretty slow despite not being too busy

Comfortable and good value

Liked: Most of the staff were excellent especially in the bar and dining room. Room comfortable abs clean. Parking good price for 24 hours and the area immediately round the hotel quiet, although generally in a tatty part of Birmingham/ west Bromwich
Disliked: Check in was a poor experience, very slow and seemed disorganised but it was a busy time on a Saturday evening

Liked: The staff really welcoming, the leisure centre was an added bonus. Comfortable bed and well equipped room. Must mention Mandy and Amina as they were very knowledgeable about the hotel thank you.
