A great short stay in...

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was perfectly adequate and comfortable, linen was good, and the pillows comfy. The bathroom exceeded my expectations and was very nice indeed. The decor was up to date.
Disliked: The view out the windows was of the wall of a building and made the room very dark. The aircon unit box outside our room rattled and clicked so much that on the second night we requested something be done about it, and we were moved to another room. More tea bags would have been welcome and we needed to get more from reception.

Liked: Both rooms I booked were very clean, had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable, staff were super friendly. It was also a prime location and walking distance from public parking, eateries and Aotea Square. Where they had the ice rink. :)

Disliked: The breakfast at Lonestar was really disappointing. At $30 per person, we expected much better.

Liked: The rooms were very comfortable and the staff went out of their way to assist me. Very happy with service and facilities.
Disliked: I have an issue with restaurant, which on accepts cards (and not cash) and then applies a surcharge for payment by card. I am not sure of the rules in NZ, but in Australia this would be illegal. Otherwise the food was nice and reasonably priced.
