Disappointing stay

Liked: Good location in central historic Dunedin, with plenty of restaurants in easy walking distance and close to the marina. The Pineallas trail was brilliant for walking and cycling.
Disliked: Didn't like the fact that there is no one there to welcome you on arrival. Owner sent a msg on the phone but it didn't give clear enough instructions on how to get into the room plus you have to know exactly which room you booked.Didn't like the foam mattress, it was uncomfortable and made you hot.Very small bathroom in the garden suite room. There are issues with lots of bugs/mosquitoes around , hence they provide lots of sprays for your use. We sprayed, but even so we got bitten quite a lot.

Liked: We liked everything . The bed was comfortable. The grounds were private location couldn’t be beat. The pool was just perfect .

Meranova Inn is Charming

Liked: The Meranova is a really lovely Inn. Ideal location downtown across from a small park with well-kept gardens and a very nice pool. The bath was quite large, with a deep soaking tub and shower. Bed was very comfortable. Every suite is different, some with a porch and direct access to the grounds.
Disliked: The furniture was a bit dated but functional. Kitchenette was compact with a couple or solo traveler in mind. The "goodie" basket filled with treats was a nice touch.

Lovely getaway place ideal for...

Liked: Perfect location close to Saturday market, restaurants, our concerts, we parked the car upon arrival and walked everywhere.
Disliked: That we had to leave this piece of paradise!

Superb

Right downtown, can be noisy,...

Liked: The room was adequate, if a little small. Main Street Dunedin is a raucous place many nights, and the guest House is really right in the middle of it. If you're looking to be in the middle of town with many of the bars, restaurants and gift shops within walking distance, this is your place. They have a nice garden space with chairs, and our room (Garden Suite) had a small veranda attached to sit.
Disliked: Our "suite" was a studio type of room, with a small countertop containing a bar sink. A drinks refrigerator and a hotplate were stored under the counter, along with a toaster. The bathroom was teeny. The bathroom sink was actually in the main room, it wouldn't fit in the actual bathroom. IMO it shouldn't have been listed as a "suite," a studio apartment would have been accurate. there are bigger, actual suites on the site.

Liked: The location was fantastic. Outdoor seating areas were great too.
Disliked: There isn’t a front desk and staff are only available via text or call. I didn’t expect that with an inn and it changed the vibe to more of an Airbnb. Not a bad thing, just wasn’t expected and no one had mentioned it in reviews.
