Bad

Disliked: We had a very poor experience during our stay. We were shown six different rooms on arrival all of them had visible mould. One of the receptionists even told us, “we don’t have any rooms without mould.” We ended up waiting in the hotel lobby from 4:30am until 8:15am before being given a room. The room we finally received had stained carpets, cracked walls, no bath mat, no working extractor fan, windows that barely opened, and a TV placed far from the bed, making it difficult to watch. We had booked a twin room, but were told there were none available when we checked in, and this was never resolved. The breakfast manager had no idea about the issues we’d faced and dismissed us, saying it wasn’t her department. The hotel manager later told us we were “lucky we didn’t get evicted,” which we found incredibly rude and unprofessional. After four hours overnight wait without rest, it was understandably a frustrating situation but we were treated as an inconvenience rather than guests. There was also no parking available, and we were advised to park at the nearby Holiday Inn, which cost £40 and involved a 10-minute walk with heavy luggage surprising for a hotel claiming four-star standards. We were eventually offered a refund, which we accepted. However, calling it a "goodwill gesture" felt inappropriate, a clean, safe, functional room is not an extra, it’s a basic expectation. The refund does not change the fact that this was a stressful and disappointing stay.I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously. Based on our experience, the current standards do not reflect a four-star hotel.

It is a consistently clean...

Liked: The property isn’t an ideal location for a few different tubes stations plus a 15 minute walk to my office in Marylebone. The gym is beautiful and the restaurant is solid and stays open late.
Disliked: I think the beds are not super comfortable, and you can easily hear the noise from the hallways in some of the rooms. However, the service and staff were great.
