Liked: My goodness, what a place. The most beautiful setting with hundreds of acres of greenery, ancient oaks and plane trees just by the side of the drive, Japanese cherry trees in blossom, a view from the lodge over the lake and a magnificent old bridge that was just stunning. Polite golfers going quietly about their thing. Delightful, friendly, courteous staff that were worth the price of the room by itself. Fluffy towels, a deep bath, lovely toiletries. And a meal outside by the lake that makes me smile now. Honestly, I felt like royalty.
Disliked: The little kettle in the room was slow to switch off when boiling.

Liked: great location in beautiful countryside
Disliked: Rooms could do with a vintage refurb, matress as old as the rooms - no facilities there except for golf and bite to eat. A lot of money for what it is!!
