Not for us, wouldn’t stay...

Liked: Very comfortable mattress. Good shower pressure, Lovely grounds (middle of 2 golf courses) felt grand driving in and the buildings were beautiful. Parking free and close to accommodation. Very quiet. Lady at check out was bubbly.
Disliked: Poor signage across the estate making it a frustrating start. Staff member challenged why we’re looking at a lake - very sarcastic and accusatory tone and not hospitable at all - made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome which soured the stay. Dated property which is the style but it’s a little more shabby than chic - drawer handles missing, stained carpet, old tv, dirty remote, had 1 mug for 2 people, lamp not working, our room had 6 spiders and they were the ones we could see without trying. Dusty in the non obvious areas - housekeeping could do with looking up. Bath tub tarnished with green limescale and mouldy grout made it feel unclean, hot water from bath tap was dangerously hot. Booking.com said I’d booked a ground floor deluxe room with coffee machine - was upstairs with no coffee machine.

Liked: Wonderful views across the estateNicely decorated and spacious roomsLove rooms named after racehorses- ours was Nijinsky and we had a painting of the horse on the wall.
Disliked: Minor thing - we could hear folks walking around in the room upstairs. But we would stay again. Sad that the Auberge du Lac restaurant was closed.

Fine for short stay on...

Liked: Lovely grounds. Spacious. Large room with twin beds as asked. Good location. Quiet environment. Handy for road connections. Ample parking, appreciate not being charged to park on site. Car felt safe as well away from public roads.
Disliked: Breakfast costly for what it was. Pastries too sweet. Instructions to get in could be clearer. Mattress felt old and was too soft; could feel the springs which was a shame for overall experience.
