Melbourne Kew Central Apartments

This property was a great...

Liked: The location is exactly where we want it to be.The staff were courteous and efficient
Disliked: There was no wifi available in the apartments. The first apartment we were given had a faulty air conditioning unit. As a unit set up for two people this unit was stocked with only 1 wine glass, only 1 drinking glass, o plug for the sink and no blanket. After suffering a very cold first night the staff moved us to another unit. The second unit offered also had a faulty air conditioning unit so they moved us to another third unit. This third unit had the required number of items however the sink did not drain properly, the sink plug did not fit and the plumbing appeared to work at odd times during the night as loud gurgling was heard at odd times as the water drained away.

Good location and I was...

Liked: I enjoy visiting the Kew appartments. They are clean, comfortable and good value.
Disliked: I got a bit confused when entering the property for the first time, but I figured it out.

Comfortable stay and wonderfully convenient...

Liked: The layout, rooms were cosy, convenient location.
Disliked: Light coming through the windows, curtains need a little upgrade.

Needs some TLC

Liked: It was just across the road from where I was having a medical procedure. The bed linen and towels smelt fresh and looked clean.
Disliked: The place needs a good clean. My room smelt funky. Overnight the room was soo hot. There was no fly screen on the window so bugs could come in if I opened the window to cool the room down. When using the aircon, it had a stale smell. The window ledge looked like it had never been cleaned as did the skirting boards which were covered in a thick layer of dust. There was a lot of light that came in from the hall at night or from outside as my blind didn't cover the entire window. There was a fan that hummed loudly in the bathroom. I couldn't find an exhaust button anywhere to turn it off. However when showering it was clear that this exhaust fan wasn't working effectively as condensation filled the room. Additionally the shower head kept falling against the wall, and even after I tightened it, it would quickly become loose making showering difficult.

You get what you pay...

Liked: It was available and cheap. You get what you pay for.
Disliked: It's old. There is a lingering smell. The bathroom is off putting as it is very old and needs cleaning big time. The exhaust/ventilation in the bathroom ceiling has not been cleaned for years! Also NO WIFI.
