Very good
Liked: Location was fantastic, about 2 mins walk from Southern Cross station and only 15 mins to Flinders Street station and Crown Casino.Bed was very comfortable and roller blind made the bedroom pitch black so got a good nights sleep. Four pillows on bed; 2 soft and 2 firm. Room has both a fan and a heater. All staff I encountered were very nice and professional, especially the young man who helped turn on the room fan. Check in/out an easy process. I liked that there was the security of having a key card open the bathrooms and that they were gender separated.Lockers to store bags was very handy.
Disliked: The heat when walking into the hostel was outrageous.. it was sweltering and I had to take my jacket off immediately, I can only guess it was set on 26/27 degrees? It was so hot downstairs, I didn't bother with the kitchen or seating area.Room was also hot but couldn't turn fan on as it was attached to the wall very high up.. I'm 5' 8", and I couldn't reach it even on tiptoes. I had to get staff member to stand on a chair to turn it on. Also, the power socket is very, very loose and I honestly thought it was going to drop out of the wall!Room walls were a bit grotty with hand prints smeared near the light switches. Also, there were cigarette butts on the balcony floor.. someone didn't clean properly! Wasn't worth the price.. I would have expected a kettle and mini fridge and even a chair or luggage stool to put a suitcase on.

Superb
Liked: They have access card even for the toilet. So you have to carry your access card everywhere. It makes guests feel safe, but at the same time, it’s easy to lost the card. It would be easier to have a lanyard to attach to the card.
