Liked: Very good location. Convenient that there are parking spaces (need to reserve).
Disliked: A little bit small space in the room for a family. It would be great if there was a kettle in the room.

Great location High marks once...

Liked: Great location. Very cool three bed room, 2 beds were in a loft.It has a lovely outdoor courtyard area with seating. Friendly, helpful staff.
Disliked: So it is under construction right now: July 2025. Courtyard area is not accessible- staging materials etc there.Worse, the air conditioning is not working. They supplied a fan immediately, but we have 2 levels in our room so we should have asked for 2.The fifth floor has an outer pane of glass with less than 1cm of opening outside our windows. This did not allow for air circulation to cool the room at night. It also reflects all the noise of adjoining rooms right back into ours and our noise into their rooms. Not sure why it is built this way. None of this would be an issue in cooler weather, with shut windows, and I expect the air conditioning will work fine when construction is complete.

Pleasant basic hotel that allows...

Liked: HOTEL: Though previous guests had complained that this hotel was noisy because you could hear other guests in the corridors, the corridors at the Meininger Berlin Mitte are now carpeted, and so noise is NOT a problem. ROOM/BEDS: We had a room towards the rear of the building which was also fairly quiet. The room was just big enough for 3 beds (so did not look as spacious as the room photos shown on the website), however the beds were comfortable and clean and the shower/toilet was very good. We knew we wouldn't be spending much time in our room, so a basic, small and affordable accommodation was very acceptable. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Adding 'Late Checkout' the evening before was also possible. LOCATION: This hotel is very well placed for accessing the public transport network; tram and S-Bahn are right outside the door. If you are happy to walk considerable distances, the Brandenburg Gate or Checkpoint Charlie or the remains of the Wall in the Bernauerstrasse are each 25-30 minutes walk away.
Disliked: I would have liked more space in the room and for it to have been more similar to the room photos shown on booking.com. (You don't get to see your actual room until you arrive at the hotel.) As there is no air-con, you need to leave the windows open overnight. As there was nightly laughter and chatter coming up from the social area in the central courtyard, this was not ideal.
