Liked: Lovely old house. Very comfortable rooms. Large breakfast choice. Helpful hosts.
Disliked: Looks slightly dated from outside- but lovely inside

Would think twice before booking...

Liked: Meifod House surely has seen better days. You can see that from the property and the way it was set up. But it surely is not at its best. There was single person handling front office to kitchen to restaurant. She was incredibly good but that staff limitation surely impacts service levels, ability to ask for something missing etc., The breakfast spread was good but nothing to be excited about. We were happy to stay in a heritage house but unlikely to stay there again.
Disliked: Room heating was not good and the controls were not functioning properly. Need power sockets in the bedroom for phone charging. The bathroom was inconvenient. Would certainly have loved an overhead shower instead of merely the hand shower which you use sitting in the small tub. I understand that this is an old home done up and looking for the next buyer. I am merely calling out from the needs of a traveller on the road.

Liked: So much character, beautiful features and comfortable areas to sit and relax. Loved the library and sitting rooms. Very comfortable beds and excellent host. Best breakfast ever!
Disliked: Nothing to dislike
