Comfortable,pleasant and relaxing . An...

Liked: Lovely old style Manor House with period features . Four poster bed ,very comfortable to sleep in . Warm bedding and lovely soft Roll top bath,a touch of luxury . Luxury decor with large mirrors .Friendly and accommodating,welcoming staff,pool table and grand piano downstairs. Substantial choice with the included breakfast. Option to have earlier breakfast. Large remote tv in room ,lots of clothes storage,iron ,ironing board ,kettle ,tea and fresh ground coffee with cafetière provided. Wi-Fi and fresh towels and extra cushions on bed.
Disliked: Dated carpets and outdoor seating area was showing signs of wear and tear,outside mirror was broken . En-suite Bathroom access was via steps,but had a hand rail. Bath could benefit from grab handles as difficult to get out of due to design. Sink was not secured to the wall and was loose . Personally,an overhead shower would be more useful than one attached to the taps. Slightly higher tariff than expected. Subdued lighting in the communal areas ,made it a little oppressive. There wasn’t much people/social activity present in such a large property .so there wasn’t much ambience or atmosphere.

Liked: The country house hotel was beautiful with lots of character, our room was a great size and the bed was really comfortable. The little extras was a nice touch. Breakfast was exceptional.

Great comfortable stop over.

Liked: The decor in our bedroom and en suite were beautiful. I felt like we had walked onto a film set. Very glamorous! We had an amazing selection of foods at breakfast plus the choice of a cooked breakfast.There were many comfortable lounge areas on the ground floor for use by residents.
Disliked: Reception on tv was spasmodic, probably due to heavy rainfall.
