Totally as expected. It was...

Liked: Bathroom was brilliant as I asked for an accessible room and it met all expectations. Loved the shower. Staff were brilliant. You had to go looking if you needed more refreshments or loo rolls but they always had a smile. Having worked with change overs myself, you don't always feel like smiling!! Nice garden to sit out if required.
Disliked: The only thing was the fact you had to ask for a refresh of the room and as I was staying for 5 days I expected it to be done half way through my stay. It could be a bit noisy at times. Saturday night there was banging doors up untill mid-night.

Hotel OK but restaurant needs...

Liked: Hotel OK for the price. Nothing special but comfortable and convenient.
Disliked: Service in restaurant poor on the Saturday night. Despite having booked a meal for 6 people for 7pm, we all arrived on time but drinks and food order not taken until 7.30pm. Once food ordered we were told there was a 1 hour delay! We hadn't just walked in ... the booking was made several weeks eatlier. Staff did their best and provided light snack for one member who was on insulin and had to eat at regular intetvals. Very disappointing when pre-booked.
