Would recommend Mckays hotel

Liked: Accomodation was on the main street, off street parking, check in was fast, meals were great and staff were friendly.
Disliked: Stayed in adjoining cottage, stair were very steep, unfortunately carpets were stained from previous guests, otherwise great

Noise during the night

Liked: The room itself was beautiful and cozy, breakfast was superb, and the service friendly and polite.
Disliked: Unfortunately, two issues made our stay far less enjoyable.First, the “superior” room’s only window faced a blank wall barely a meter away—something you don’t expect when you pay extra for an upgraded category. Second, and far more disruptive, a loud turbine-like noise (apparently the kitchen exhaust) thundered on and off until 11 p.m., returned several times during the night—waking me up—and roared steadily again from early morning.

It was absolutely fine but...

Liked: Location. Dogs allowed.
Disliked: Could hear all noises from rooms around me-thin walls! Rooms a bit old fashioned. My daughter couldn’t get an extra sausage with her breakfast as the waiter said the chef was in an ‘iffy mood!’

Disliked: I think it’s over priced, bit of a tourist trap. No cash taken only cards
