Museum-like accommodation, but you're not...
Liked: The decor was very nice and felt like grandma's day.
Disliked: Although the city center is within walking distance, the route through various homeless hotspots isn't suitable for everyone.Several ladies look after the accommodation with little competence. It's normal for staff to make mistakes, but to rudely and arrogantly make this the guest's problem is the lowest form of service (unacceptable). The staff were sometimes difficult to reach, and the owner clearly doesn't care.

A perfect base for exploring...
Liked: A perfect base for exploring Ottawa. Easy to find and there is parking for a small fee. We received a free room upgrade and the room exceeded all our expectations. Super comfy bed, fantastic bathroom and really quiet at night. The whole building is beautiful, with lots of history. East to walk to all the main attractions. Free tea and coffee available 24/7 and a cooked breakfast was a lovely treat. Would highly recommend.

Liked: This lovely inn exceeds expectations in so many ways. Great location, walkable to all the major sights in downtown. The glorious and curious prints, objects, and unique furnishings are what make the historic inn charming, comforting, but never too much. Add in the delicious breakfast and delightful staff, and the place is an absolute winner.
Disliked: Absolutely nothing!

Quaint and Qurky Stay in...
Liked: Large room with comfortable bed. Good shower and toiletries. Staying at the Inn is an enjoyable step back in time to the Victorian era. The staff are very friendly and helpful and once you are checked in, it’s easy to come and go as you please. Hot food is served at breakfast and the menu changes slightly each day. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the Rideau transit station and 20 minute walk to Parliament Hill along one straight road.,The Byward Market is a 10 minute walk with lots of eating options. I enjoyed my stay here.
