Dating from the 1860s May Cottage B&B is a quaint Lakeland Cottage that offers 6-foot wide king-size beds in all roomsfree WiFi free parking and complimentary use of leisure facilities and a pool at a nearby hotel. It is located just 2 minutes' walk from Lake Windermere local shops cafes and restaurants. The three rooms each have their own individual charm and character. Some rooms feature ornate fireplaces large Victorian windows a seating area or a coffee table. All rooms have a king-size bed free WiFi a TV and tea and coffee-making facilities. A traditional cooked breakfast and light continental breakfast are included. You can make use of a bicycle storage and dry room. May Cottage is less than 5 minutes' walk from Lake Windemere and 1.5 miles from Windermere Rail Station. Perfect for a getaway.

Liked: Ideal location, quiet yet only a couple of minutes from the centre of Bowness. Lovely welcome by hosts. Exceptional breakfast with a good selection of options to set you up for the day. Comfortable bed.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Lovely stay at may cottage, Joan and Simon were the perfect hosts.Breakfast was exceptional, room very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and stay again

Liked: Everything. Very comfortable room and bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. Just a couple minutes walk to all the shops and restaurants.
Disliked: Nothing I didn’t like. Everything was perfect.

Wonderful stay, highly recommended for...

Liked: Well kept, warm & inviting. Good size room, and bathroom, lots of lovely little touches - plentiful coffee tea making supplies, make up removal bits & the hosts are very welcoming. We felt very looked after ! The location couldn’t be better, 5 mins to centre of Bowness

Lovely romantic weekend with my...

Liked: Breakfast choice and quality was excellent. Owners very friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Very quiet place to stay and close to centre of Bowness.
