Liked: From the moment we checked in and met Chris, we felt truly welcomed—like returning guests, even though it was our first time staying at the Matterhorn. Chris was warm and professional, and to our delight, he upgraded us to a suite right away.The suite was incredibly comfortable. Despite outside temperatures in the high 90s, the air conditioning kept things cool and pleasant. The living room furniture felt new and upscale, with a supple leather sofa and loveseat that were perfect for relaxing. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including a microwave, coffee maker (with coffee supplied), a spacious mini fridge, and even a bar area with a sink.The king-size bed in the bedroom was exceptionally comfortable, and there was plenty of space and furniture to store our belongings. While the hotel is older and perfectly maintained, it’s full of charm and character, built on multiple levels with interesting nooks and crannies to explore. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with vibrant flowers and unique plants that give the entire property an almost European feel.The pool area was also very well kept and became our favorite place to unwind with a swim after exploring the town.We highly recommend the Matterhorn for both romantic getaways and family vacations.
