Excellent value for working at...

Liked: Really good value, considering it included a breakfast. Nice to be able to sit outside in the garden too. Room was also a good size etc.
Disliked: Can't really compain given the price, but in an ideal world there would be aircon (it was quite hot), a desk to work on (I had some to do) and a bath

Had a great stay, would...

Liked: The room was lovely and spacious (and cool) The garden was a great added bonus, available to use by all guests. We had a lovely cooked breakfast, the owners were lovely
Disliked: It was a bit farther out of town than we usually book so had to use the car to get to places, but the room and owners outweighed this minor issue

Terrible hotel in a terrible...

Liked: This hotel looks lovely on the Booking.com website.In fact it fronts onto a busy, down at heel road and the owners had recently sold half the property so the garden was significantly smaller.Positives:The owner had booked me a downstairs room due to my limited mobility.
Disliked: Negatives:I had given a rough indication of when I expected to arrive but was travelling from Yorkshire and did not expect that this timing would be taken literally. I did not expect that the owner would start ringing me and sending messages when I was 'late'. She was very flustered at me being 'late' and having to stay behind for me as the owners do not stay on site. There was no parking outside the hotel (because they have recently sold half the property) and after looking for a space on the busy road (many of the 'spaces' were not available due to concerted over front gardens and dropped curbs) and the owner directing me here and there I finally was able to park on the front after all. I must have turned around 5 times.The room was at the back of the building, through three locked doors to the outisde and past a load of decorating materials and a rat trap. It was very small (barely enough room for the bed), cold (with no instructions on how to turn the heating on) and spartan. The bathroom was also cold and stunk of cheap disinfectant.The breakfast in the morning was disappointing and the veggie sausages were inedible.All in all I would not recommend this place and will not be returning.
