Elegant old spot

Liked: Very attractive period building with a conservatory and lovely outdoor area. Lunch in the bar was good and the staff on that side were very friendly and helpful. The room was small, for an executive suite, but it was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Reception staff were not friendly, the breakfast (a buffet which I dread anyway) wasn't great and the shower leaked

Very nice hotel but doesn't reach it's potential

Liked: The staff are friendly, my room was large, the English breakfast was excellent, the room was quiet despite a wedding reception taking place
Disliked: The mattress is old and need replacing, there was an old champagne cage behind my bedside table which suggests the room wasn't clean enough, the shower is a little on the small side, it's a little expensive considering the rooms are a little tired
