Home away from home, where...

Liked: Quiet, but only a 6 minute ferry ride to Lerwick. Staff was amazing! Rooms were squeaky clean and the local ls we met in the bar each night very friendly. Would definitely stay again.
Disliked: Nil

Excellent stay. Loved its position...

Liked: The Maryfield is the perfect location, very easily accessible to Mainland. Nelly cooked great varied menu. Sara was the most welcoming & friendly front of house. Excellent spacious bedroom with amazing views towards Lerwick. Highly recommend.
Disliked: Possibly could be a bit cosier.

Liked: Dinner was great. Unfortunately kitchen not open on Monday but found gteat alternative in Lerwick. The hotel has a nice whisky-lounge. Very friendly owner.

A really good hotel with...

Liked: Maryfield house is a 3 room hotel opposite Lerwick a 7 minute ferry ride away. The rather grey exterior hides a real gem of a hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean and the staff extra helpful. Breakfast menu is the same each day but as they are only catering for 3 rooms that is to be expected. Dinner is expensive but of good quality and good portions. They will fit in with your needs wherever possible to provide excellent service.
Disliked: The hotel is on Bressay which is a nice but small island so only takes a short time to explore unless you are on foot.. This means taking the ferry across to Lerwick and so you need to have the timetable available as there is often only 1 ferry an hour. Not the hotels fault though!

Being in a clean, comfortable...

Liked: It was lovely. we are not big breakfast eaters but a good cup of coffee is important to us so we asked for strong coffee and Maria paid attention and gave us strong coffee which was great. she is a friendly helpful and charming hostess
Disliked: Nothing really - because the address is a Lerwick postcode we had not understood that we were on Bressey, it was our fault, but it just added another ferry into the day.
