Very good

Liked: Wonderful historical location, in the middle of Scottish campaigns.
Disliked: Breakfast to improve, limited choice if you aren't oriented towards an Scottish tipical breakfast.

Excellent place to stay, great...

Liked: Location fantastic with lovely views of the river, lots of parking which is essential for us when travelling with a van and trailer. All staff were friendly and helpful, in particular Callum (and another man working the bar whose name we didn’t get). Evening food to a very high standard, I had the lamb and would highly recommend. Drinks reasonably priced and a great selection.
Disliked: The only qualm would be the breakfast which was average but still more than acceptable for the price paid and would not deter us from staying again.

Exceptional

Liked: Beautiful location on the river and the rooms were roomy and quaint . We had a few meals and they were all excellent .

Fabulous property, great food, hospitality...

Liked: The hotel itself was lovely and authentic. The grounds were tidy and wonderful views of the river. Food in restaurant was very nice.
Disliked: Wifi was very slow in the bedroom. Bed was very firm. River view room was pretty small. Disappointed with welcome from receptionist (red haired woman) who maybe had had a bad day. Service staff could use some training.

We enjoyed our short break.

Liked: Peaceful & quiet. Great setting beside river Dee.
Disliked: No dislikes but maybe more choice on dinner menus.

Nice rooms with lovely view...

Liked: The room was recently renovated and very clean.
Disliked: The breakfast that was provided was very poor. Potato scones were rock hard and quality of food for price of room didn’t match.

Liked: Beautiful venue and great room! Amazing bathroom!
Disliked: I was charged twice for the room service charge. I paid in cash when I checked out but then noticed I was charged via my card as well.
