In the beautiful Hampshire countryside this colonial-style hotel has a pool a sauna and free parking. Marwell Zoo is opposite the hotel and both Winchester and Southampton are within a 10-mile radius for the property. Each room at the Marwell Hotel has a flat-screen TV free Wi-Fi and free tea and coffee making facilities. Many rooms have woodlands views while all have a private bathroom. The Dining Room Restaurant provides a menu based on locally sourced seasonal produce. Serving breakfast and a dinner menu the relaxed bar and lounge also offers a range of drinks. Guests have free use of the leisure center which features an indoor heated swimming pool. Marwell Hotel's golf center with two 18-hole courses is within a few minutes' drive. A unique hotel that I...

Liked: I have stayed here three times over the past 7 years to visit Marwell Zoo. The hotel has a great location, is reasonably priced, the building is unique, the pool is nice, the breakfast is good and the staff are excellent. Granted, I may be easily pleased, but I like this place. I will keep visiting.
Disliked: The new showers are very nice, but I felt like I needed a PhD to figure out how to work it the first time. This was a 'me' problem, and I got there in the end.

Liked: Amazing surroundings and friendly staff.
Disliked: The food wasn't great and the room and swimming pool could have been cleaner.

Have stayed twice and would...

Liked: Friendly, helpful staff.Lovely cosy hotel with a swimming pool which the kids loved and a sauna which I loved.Lovely breakfast.Hotel reception, foyer, restaurant and garden are very well maintained.Rooms are clean and look nice. Beds are comfortable. Does amazing meals and entertainment of special nights. Good value for money.
Disliked: Needs a better menu for lunch and dinner but this doesn’t take away from what a lovely hotel it is.
