Liked: The property is beautiful. Garden is spectacular and has nice places to sit and have something to drink. The rooms are well appointed. Parking is very good. It’s within walking distance of downtown Portsmouth, about a mile.
Disliked: If you have any problems with going up stairs, or lifting suitcases upstairs request a ground level. Also the cottage suites on the ground level offer more privacy and room.

We would stay here again

Liked: Room was comfortable and very clean. Gardens are gorgeous! Parking was convenient - either in front of the house or the inn parking lot

Would never rebook in this...

Liked: It was close to town and attractions, this was the only plus. We actually left and didn’t stay the full term of the booking.
Disliked: No one on site. No temperature control in the room and it was hotter than hell. Remove the flat screen from the room because the cable service was a fail. You might want to upgrade the restroom in the Nightingale room.

High expectations but so uncomfortable.

Liked: The breakfast wasAmazing and the host was so friendly that we hate to give a poor rating, but we want others to be aware.
Disliked: The bed was so uncomfortable that we didn’t stay our second night that was booked.. The room was so full of furniture, but it was all too small to sit in comfortably. The details were so well thought out, but comfort wasn’t one of them.
