Marsh Farm Hotel

Such a shame!

Liked: The hotel is set in a lovely location with field views but close to eating and shopping areas.
Disliked: Unfortunately this hotel housed refugees until April 2024 and it's obviously still trying to recover. They've had to put in new beds, paint the rooms and recarpet to get the guests but it needs a lot of work done The walls are very thin and you can hear everything plus where the locks on windows and doors have been previously broken wind and traffic noise come through. Apparently there was a kitchen incident so continental breakfast only. The gardens are overgrown, the outside of the building needs a serious paint and the upstairs overflow pipes run down the walls outside all day and night They shouldn't be using old photographs for advertising as the venue looks nothing like it did.and it's not worth the price I paid for an " executive room".Such a shame because this was once a beautiful hotel and I really hope they can recover from our Governments hospitality .

Liked: Breakfast was adequate fresh fruit cereal coffee
Disliked: Rooms weren’t that clean quite dusty shower black mould silicon toilets dirty . No coffee or tea provided in room.

Disappointing

Liked: Not a lot
Disliked: Garden overgrown , restaurant shut , bar shut. I was stood outside and a rat came around the corner , had to break down brambles that were growing towards our door

Liked: The room was clean with a fresh supply of towels
Disliked: The reception staff were rude and not attentive, the bar and waiting area were dirty and decorated poorly, however the room was cleaner and well equipped.The bar was not open at all in the evening and the breakfast room was full of flies and wasps so was not eaten despite being paid for.The hotel did not appear open or welcoming on arrival despite seeing other guests around.
