Liked: Location of hotel. Comfortable bed.
Disliked: The room/decor was 'tired'. Toilet seat was broken. Televison was not working. (We did report the television not working but nothing was done)

Truly awful, and very over...

Liked: The towels were okay
Disliked: I stayed in room 16 and all I can say it was awful - dated, dirty and uncomfortable. Based on the general state of the room and the peach bathroom suite it clearly hadn't received any kind of update since the 80's. The bed felt like it should have been retired 10 years before, the carpet was stained and didn't reach the skirting boards in places, and I'm guessing their vacuum cleaner is passed it's best too as the carpet wasn't even well vacuumed. This wasn't quaint old world charm, it was grubby, in need of complete renovation. I didn't arrive at the room until 11.30pm, so was too tired to complain, however when I raised it with staff the next morning they were completely uninterested. They've also ignored the message I sent so clearly aren't interested once they have your money.

Disliked: We were in the annex ,the entrance looked very poor and the doorway was full of cobwebs and dirt.. the walkwsy to the annex wss very runbdown. All needed TLC.

Lovely property, could be cleaner.

Liked: Lovely property in a nice location. The gardens are well kept. Large car park. Large bath with a powerful warm shower. The staff were very friendly.
Disliked: Not very clean, and although the bathroom appeared quite new, a few features were damaged. The shower was covered in timescale and mould, and the toilet had been used and had urine splashed on the seat. The kettle was filled with water, with sediment in the bottom.The fire alarm went off at around 5am, which didn't make for a great night sleep.

Tranquil in great location

Liked: Absolutely stunning location. I looked out over a beautiful field which had young deer grazing in the morning

Disliked: Only 2 members of staff on duty who were unable to keep up with demand, long waits for menu, food & drinks.Very dated noisy bathroom outside areas not maintained, dirty rotting furniture with cigarette ends on the ground around the tables, which is a shame because it could be lovely.
