Liked: We had great views of the hills and the grassy meadows. It was located in a very peaceful location far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The personnel went above and beyond to satisfy our needs. The checkin person was warm and welcoming. The breakfast, served by Andrea, was lovely and we felt very welcome in the property. It was an colonial house and they have tried to maintain the look and feel as much as possible. Very comfortable and relaxing stay.
Disliked: It was a little far away from restaurants.

Liked: Gorgeous location, a quintessential Virginia country inn steeped in history and charm, warm and friendly staff. Great for a romantic weekend getaway.

Wonderful and hope to visit...

Liked: Elegant, timeless, and so enjoyable. Staff team was excellent.
Disliked: It was a drive to get there, but worth it. Eat before you go there. Places for lunch or dinner require traveling several miles.

Liked: Great suite. Comfortable bed great staff. Greeted with wine and cheese. Staff is incredible.
Disliked: I was hoping to have more activities for guests, such as horseback riding.

Cozy Relaxing Getaway

Liked: We stayed at the 5 bedroom house, not at the main building. Each room was spacious and the living room was cozy with a fireplace. We enjoyed the breakfast at the main building. The staff who have been working for the hotel for decades kindly shared the history of the property and gave us a quick tour of the main building. Every staff we met seemed to be proud of working there.
