Rooms in same price differ...

Liked: Upgraded because original room didn’t have safe. New room was inferior in about 10 ways but didn’t feel like moving rooms again. Pool was crowded and full of screaming kids but it was a holiday weekend so expected.
Disliked: Closet doors didn’t stay open, banged shut. Armchair in room was uncomfortable and lacked ottoman we had in original room. New room didn’t have tub, was smaller, fewer drawers, on level with parking lot, lacked small freezer in fridge we had in original room, front desk busy almost all the time, internet spotty,

Front Desk and cleaning services...

Liked: Good location, easily access to the placess we intened to visit, and meet up for meeting.
Disliked: The cleaning services is not being delivered for, THREE consecutive days.The incident was that there were a non-English speaking maid knocking on our door at 10:30 am on July 6th (they skipped doing the cleaning on July5th too as we checked in on th 4th), we told her to please come after 2 pm as we will be leaving around 1 pm. It seems that she didn't understand the language as the front desk providing me with two confusing excuses when we came back at 6:00 pm and still found the room was not being cleaned, so on and so forth.The front dest named Alex, instead of sending me a maid right away, he left me waiting for about 30 minutes, and then I had to make a followed-up call to him by myself again of when can the room being clean.The prompt answer I got from him was the maid lady had come back at 2 pm knocked on the door but no one answered, so she decided to leave the clean towels in a laundry bag hanging on the door knob instead. This is unaccepatable, I asked for the cleaning asap as trashes were in the room for 3 days already. The bathroom and bed were not being done for the same period, but his answer was an excuse not a solution. Then, he asked me to hold the line........ After holding he line for about 5 mintues, he came back with another excuse saying that, the maid actually had been waiting for me in front of the room for ten minutes after being informed to come back at 2 pm.?!?!?!I was quite unpleasant and keep asking when can we get the room clean, Alex said that all maids was off duty since 5 pm!!! I can't believe I got these two confused answers from the face of BONVOY. I had to ask,"Do I need to check out now or cleaning room by myself", the front desk guy kept saying the maid was off duty already. I was very upset and requested for a cleaning right then, he said he will try but not confirmed when. I had to say that we will opted out our dinner and wait, just tell us when, we will wait.

Disliked: The room is dated. Feels very 80s motel all beige and brown with a v worn grubby carpet. The bathroom was tiny
