Marriott Jacksonville

I would stay there again, and plan to the next time I go to a concert in Jacksonville. I can't say enough about the location - out of the way enough to be away from most traffic but conveniently located to all major roads in and out of Jacksonville. Being a nurse, cleanliness is important to me, and the hotel definitely met my expectations.

Liked: Location was awesome! Our venue was about 15-20 minutes away, and we were 15-20 minutes away from the beach. As we explored the area, there were several areas for shopping and eating within a few miles of the hotel. For not knowing the area at all, it was an easy place to find and get around. The housekeeping staff were courteous, pleasant and always able to help if you had a need. The front desk staff were nice as well. The pools were nice and most importantly, clean. Actually, the whole hotel was clean.
Disliked: Strip protecting the corner of the wall fell off the wall while we were out.

What gem!

Liked: This hotel is right off the main highway the decor from the moment that you walk into the front doors. Your greeted before you reach the front on this particular day. It was Ashlee she was extremely kind and helpful thorough and most importantly really fast leader for breakfast. We were greeted by Miss Pamela and Miss Rita, who are some of the sweetest women that you could meet in the kitchen area. Everything was laid out so beautifully and the food was the fine there was eggs and bacon and grits and juice, and every single thing that you can possibly think of the hospitality was remarkable upon check out, we had the pleasure of meeting yoki who is kind, professional, and overall helpful. I was so pleased with this day that, even though we were passing through, I would absolutely recommend anybody to a Marriott but specifically, this location. A gem tucked away near the highway.
Disliked: The pool was not heated, so in the morning or in the afternoon, the pool is still cold, and in the evening the pool was cold, the doors are extremely loud. We stayed on the third floor and could hear every door close and open. Aside from that once you’re in the room it’s pretty quiet and we had no other issues.

Very bad experience

Liked: The restaurant is good.
Disliked: The AC did not work, room is so cold, there is no hot water in the shower room. The front desk refused to change the room for us when we first asked for a room change, although a lot of rooms are available.
