Stacielyn, Winsted, visiting Ives Concert Park

Liked: Staff was friendly and professional! The bar had good food and drinks, also with a friendly staff.
Disliked: When we checked in at 3:30 and went up to our room there was a maid still cleaning our room. We needed to use the bathroom and we couldn't. When you opened the curtain the windows were covered with white scum and you couldn't even see through. They were disgusting..

It's closed

Liked: The hotel had been sold and was closing the next morning. The clerk (we had a reservation and arrived about 8pm) had to find bedding. The tv's had been disconnected. The elevator was broken. The clerk was the only employee present. Without his help, it would have been totally unacceptable.

Skip this Hotel

Liked: The lowest price we could without being in a shelter.
Disliked: Lack of a window,only door for emergency exit. Sketchy parking, first time we've seen an under building parking lot and kinda creepy and worried about the safety of our vehicle and contents even tho locked. Lack of security of unlocked door in parking garage allowing free access to the elevator into the hotel. Lack of front desk presence/service. No hot water just luke warm. Poor plumbing of toilet, need I say more. Outdated 1980's decor. Lack of pillows. Thankfully we only needed a few hours sleep and were out of there, hence the price even tho it was still $153 compared to others being over $200. I know it was recently purchased so hope they do some improvements soon.
