Good location nice staff

Liked: Room was good nice staff
Disliked: The fact the on site workman doing the refurbishment were allowed to take all the breakfast stuff and to wander behind the serving trays in full workwear!!

Liked: The little fitness and spa area was good, its distance from the train station was perfect for me.
Disliked: The room I was put it was completely outdated and not comfortable at all. It was rather dark and one couldn’t open the window because the room was on the ground floor and right next to the car park. Therefore, the curtains had to be drawn all day. The staff at reception were rather uninterested in me as a guest and even so the leaflet given at check in answered my questions, I expected more from the staff. The whole place seemed to be deserted and made me feel really uncomfortable. To get to the room one had to walk through corridors in which all the bedrooms were being refurbished - except the corridor I was put in with a room with a really poor standard. The spa facilities were very useful but the cleanliness was poor. The only people at the hotel seemed to be the workers. Breakfast was ok but I expected a little more for the money I paid.

Liked: Room was fine
Disliked: Under refurbishment which meant there was no restaurant only bar meals which was not made clear when I booked . The meal was very average.

Passable

Liked: The room it was lovely and clean
Disliked: Very thin walls, could hear neighbours behind the wall. The times of the pool wasn’t great, closing at 5:30pm during weekends.
