Liked: The attention to detail given to the room in terms of design, layout, detailing and facilities was exceptional. Contemporary but homely. Some great touches such as the complimentary bar and Tunnocks biscuits! Staff were enthused and it is clear that the company is a good employer. Special thanks to Miles and Peter for insights and a great representation of the hotel ethos / offering. Best city hotel we've ever stayed in.

Liked: The hotel itself is beautiful. The design and interior are pleasing; I truly loved the room. It was very cosy. The room was very clean, and it had almost everything you needed. The location is excellent; it's just a few steps away from Edinburgh Waverley. I would definitely stay here again.
Disliked: I don't know if this is an issue with the room I stayed in since no one seems to be mentioning it, but you could hear every single thing going on outside the room. You could also hear footsteps and sliding doors from the rooms next to you or above. I could even hear the pipes when the room next door or above would flush the toilet or use the tap. I woke up from how loud everything was a few times during the night. I wasn't particularly bothered to be honest, and after getting used to it on the first night, I slept well on my second night. But if you're a light sleeper, it could be annoying.
