Cheap service for expensive prices
Liked: Close to the city
Disliked: By the arrival the staff gave me no information about the hotel, breakfast, dinner, where the swimming pool is! The pool looks totally different than the picture I had a superior room but not same superior experience as i had before at other hotels and the breakfast is too expensive for what i received ( no avocados at all and the croissants are mini croissants) the area around the sink of the room was not completely clean

I and my family had...
Liked: Breakfest was served in a fabulous baroque room, variety and quality of food was good. Location, next to the Schlosspark, the Stadtschloss and the Dom, and very close to the Altstadt, is very good.
Disliked: Access to the family rooms is only by stairs, no elevator is availble. Might be a problem for the families with a lot of heavy luggage.

Solid, could have been better
Liked: The staff was very helpful, warm, friendly and kind, the location is great, everything is close by and the breakfast spread was amazing and overwhelmingly positive with the amount of options you can choose from. It costs 23€, but it is 23€ well spent.
Disliked: We had a very specific issue that had an impact on our stay. The hotel we booked upon arrival canceled on us and we had too find accommodation at 3:00h in the morning, with Maritim Hotel being one of the few opened during the night. The receptionist was really kind and offered us a room for the night with an offer to extend our check-out. This didn't suit us, because they also said they didn't have any free rooms so we would have to check-out around 14:00h and we had to work uninterrupted until 17:00h. This left us with no choice, but to sleep in the car we arrived in on a parking lot. Before going to sleep I've noticed I was able to book the room via Booking for the next 1-2 days, even though the receptionist told us that there were no available rooms. So I booked a room that evening, arrived the next day during our lunch break and we were surprised that, not only there were free rooms, but the staff was kind enough to give us an early check-in. This left us feeling happy but, we felt we were lied to, that the situation could have been avoided and left a bitter taste in our mouth. Another instance came upon during our check-out. We knew we planned to leave the next day in the evening, so we booked for an extra day just so we could finish our business uninterrupted, but what happened was that we finished early and we were able to check-out earlier than expected which was around 11am. Thinking that, since we were able to check-out before 12:00h, we would only get charged for 1 day and we were quite surprised that we got charged for the next day that we didn't use up. Usually when we stay at different hotels, we don't get charged for that day that we didn't use, if we promptly check-out within the time frame of the hotel policy.
