Liked: My husband and I booked a stay at the Mariposa Inn for my 46th Birthday. Our last stay there was over two decades ago for my 20th birthday, and we decided to go back for a little bit of nostalgia. The check in was fairly quick and easy, but upon entering the room, I was a bit shocked by how old and run down everything was. The hotel hasn't been updated at all since the last time I was there. We paid for the Jacuzzi Suite with a fireplace and the jacuzzi was old, rusted and very outdated. The stairs to the jacuzzi were carpeted and felt unsafe. The bed was decent, but the bathroom was old, rusty, smelled of mildew. The fireplace was nice and cozy, but I wasn't thrilled to stay in the room at all. The morning breakfast was NOT good at all, just mostly stale pastries, the pool was disgusting and green and the outdoor jacuzzi was green one day and brown the next with a ton of tree branches, leaves, and bacteria floating around. There was street work being done in front of the premises all week, and the grounds were very dirty at the hotel. I would not recommend staying at the Mariposa. I spent over $1300.00 for 3 nights at what seemed to be an old and outdated Motel.
Disliked: I did not like the size of the room, the outdated furniture, the carpeted narrow jacuzzi stairs, the rust and mold and stains in the jacuzzi, the run-down bathroom, the running toilet with a handle that didn't work, we had to open the tank to flush the toilet. The room is old. The pool is green, and the breakfast is old pastries from a back room.

Liked: location of hotel the pool and hot tub parking pass for vehicle king room with spa tub having a spa tub in room was nice no need for ac with nice weather we didnt try continental breakfast but it was there if we wanted staff was excellent also had complimentary water for guests has fridge and microwave and in room safe
Disliked: the shower in our room was not cleaned proper some hair left in the shower tv only had few select channels only one elevator for guests to use wifi was not to good room door was kinda hard to open or close

Disliked: Our refrigerator was leaking when we got first got there, when we walked in there was a huge puddle of water on the floor. There was no bags in the trash cans, usually at other hotels they put small liners in there at least. When we turned on the heater it smelt like something was burning, so we couldn’t use it because of the smell. There was also hairs that were left in the shower. It could of been cleaned alittle bit more in my opinion

Liked: The area it was in was a nice area. The room was moderate. Good bed, nice air conditioning, mini fridge and microwave.
Disliked: The bathroom wasn’t very clean. You could tell it has not been properly wiped down to the bare minimum throughout the last few guests. There was gunk on the soap dispensers and red mold in shower. The “breakfast” is toast, bagels, cupped oatmeal, and muffins. Hotel lists having hot breakfast, it was simply an inconvenience. The WORST part of the stay was when we were checking out. I was grabbing all of my things to bring down into my car, when I hear a loud knock on the door at 11:01. (Check out at 11:00). I open the door to be told I needed to check out already….as I was grabbing my stuff. I would have left a better review but this last interaction with hotel staff is what did it for me. Check in lady wasn’t very attentive or seemed to care at all. I would have expected more for what I paid for. Would not stay again.
