Falmouth Gem for the price!
Liked: They allowed us early check-in and went above and beyond to make that happen. The room is clean, cozy, and very beachy. The location is great for Main Street, close to restaurants and shops and not too far from the beach.
Disliked: We couldn't get our t.v. to work correctly. The bed seemed comfortable at first but we both woke with backaches

I?ll stay there again to...
Liked: It was great being able to walk out the door and wander down Main Street, whether looking for the next restaurant to order from or to do some shopping. And since I was in the area for work, I could also easily walk to the office supply store or the shipping place, etc.Vu, the man who checked me in, who is probably the manager (or owner, maybe?) made sure I had everything I needed and that I felt safe and comfortable in the room. He continued to be helpful for my entire stay, even offering me a special rate when I added on another night.I didn?t need the cleaning service during my stay (especially because I ran into Vu during one late night work session and he graciously went and got me the few items I needed), but each time I saw cleaners while going about my day, they were cheerful and friendly towards me. And I could tell for myself from seeing my room, that they made sure to leave it looking and feeling very clean and fresh. There was nothing that gave me any cause for concern about whether they are keeping up with the more stringent cleaning standards of the pandemic era (unlike several other hotels I?ve been to lately - I?ve had to ask to change rooms twice at other supposedly nice establishments).
Disliked: I was flabbergasted to discover that microwaves are not available in the rooms, nor do they have a lobby area that can furnish a microwave. Ended up having to go over to 7-Eleven, a few buildings down, to use their microwave. Otherwise I could only eat cold foods in the room unless I ordered in. If they put microwaves in the rooms, it seems like such a small thing, but it would make a huge improvement to the overall stay. Another thing I would like to see in the rooms are recycling bins. At the very least the motel should have a large and obvious recycling dumpster on the property, with access from the parking lot or something. I know that Falmouth takes their town recycling program seriously; it might even be a requirement for businesses to recycle, similar to other towns on the Cape where it is against the law to put recyclables in the regular trash. As a guest, it is frustrating and feels like such a shame to throw away things that you know could be recycled, but you don?t have anywhere else to put them but the trash. Another very minor complaint is that it was extremely complicated to figure out how to get closed captioning on the television. Vu ended up having to come to my room himself to figure it out. I know that that is more of the Tele vision manufacturers issue, but it would be nice to have directions printed somewhere. I always use subtitles when staying at hotels so that I don?t potentially disturb other guests, especially when I can be quite the night owl sometimes.
